The Caribbean American Civic Movement mission is to renew, create, and strengthen the bonds among the Caribbean people and their communities; to help increase awareness and enhance their knowledge of the social, economic, civil and political systems in the U.S and abroad.
Our intent is to continue to proactively register 1,000 new Caribbean‐American voters throughout the state of Florida. We want you to join us in reaching out to all eligible voters as we organize on the ground to increase voter participation in this election season.
CACM is comprised of community leaders, education advocates, civil rights proponents, and youth leaders united in the belief that we can be an enormously influential agent for social change to fight the war on poverty and injustice. Participating in the democratic process allows all of our voices to be heard.
Help Us Continue To Make A Difference:
Caribbean American Civic Movement has successfully registered over 200s voters and hosted 24 drives. We adopted 3 precincts in Hillsborough county, FL for the Primary election held on August 30, 2016 and your generous donations will allow our organization to adopt 5 more precincts for the Presidential election being held on November 8, 2016.
Our goal to raise $20,000 will….
Aid in funding/hosting responsible voter registration drives throughout the state of Florida.
Hire and train 10 additional workers so CACM can adopt 5 additional precincts for the upcoming presidential election.
Acquire two vans to transport registration workers and assist disadvantaged voters to and from polling locations on election day.
According to the United States census in 2015, the United States was home to 3.5 million immigrants from the Caribbean, who accounted for 9 percent of the total foreign‐born population.
More than 90 percent of these immigrants came from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba and other Caribbean countries. You know how important it is to have every voice heard. Voter registration is the key, with approximately 90 percent of registered voters voting. But most Caribbean‐Americans are not registered to vote.
Our organization is dedicated to reaching out to Caribbean‐Americans and encouraging them to start the path toward lifelong civic participation.
We are accredited by the Florida Dept. of State as third party voter registrars and are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You are encouraged to make a difference and are welcome to reach out to us via
